    Another excellent experience with a wonderful hotel


    My wife and I stay at this hotel 4 to 5 times each year. It never failed to delight us with its good service and facilities. Despite the occasional changes in staff, they managed to upkeep the high level of service at virtually all levels. Breakfast and happy hours at Horizon Club, in particular, are among the best if not the best in the industry. The gym, sauna, spa, and the swimming pool on 6/F are very well equipped and spacious. The other swimming pool on the rooftop is currently under maintenance. It is another feature not to be missed.

    재작년 가족들과 방문 후 두번째 방문 입니다. 새로운 호텔에 갈까 고민하다가 위치/룸컨디션/헬스장 컨디션 등등을 고려하니 결국 다시 여기로 예약했어요. 체크인 빠른 편이고 직원들도 친절하고, 룸 컨디션 좋고 Horizon Premier 룸은 뷰가 낮에도 저녁에도 예뻐요! 아쉬운 점은 하필 루프탑 수영장이 공사를 해서 이용할 수 없던 점입니다. It’s my 2nd visiting this hotel after stayed w/ my family 2 years ago. Frankly, I tried to choose another hotel for new experience but considering location/room condition/gym condition, Shangila was the best choice. Checkin process is fast, staffs are nice and Horizon premier room has nice view whether it’s day or night. Only one thing was sad that I couldn’t use roof top pool since it was under construction.

    A Truly Exceptional Hotel


    This hotel was recommended to me by American Express's Fine Hotels and Resorts program when I searched for a Taipei hotel for an upcoming business trip. I am pretty much a dyed-in-the wool Hilton and Marriott customer, given that I have high status with both chains after 30+ years of loyalty to and more than 3,000 paid nights with them. And I love both chains; they have always been great to me. But I have always wanted to give Shangri La a try, and the Amex FHR program gave me the needed incentive to do so. Well let me tell you, I was blown away by the Shangri La Taipei. The room was excellent, and the restaurant buffets superb, but the service was even better. Special honors go to the Horizon Club Lounge team members. Every single one of them was off-the-charts great; friendly, helpful, and always going the "extra mile" to provide excellent service before I ever even asked for anything. Hospitality professionals sense what you want even before you ask for it, and delight you by bringing that extra cup of coffee or snack you were thinking about before you even utter the words. The food in the lounge was outstanding, too. The General Manager, Randy, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and made me feel right at home. The true stars of the show were Nita and Bella, who oversee operations from the front desk. Wow, what exceptional hospitality they provided me, including upgrading me to an extraordinary room and ensuring, every day, that everything was perfect in connection with my stay. In fact, everything was perfect from Minute #1, so I never had to ask for anything extra, but I am 100% certain that if I had made any special requests whatsoever, they would have found a way to fulfill them. In the end, any hotel experience is about the team members at the hotel; they are the ones who control the guest's experience. Rooms and restaurants are important, of course. But it is the staff who make you feel comfortable and at home. On a scale of 1 - 100, the team members at the Shangri La Taipei score a 1,000. They simply could not have been more friendly, helpful or nice. As you can tell, I have become a HUGE fan of this hotel, and highly recommend it. After a lifetime of travel, I have learned the difference between good, great, and truly exceptional. This hotel is truly exceptional.

    A different country but a familiar feel


    Decided to book the Horizon Club Floor Room for my first visit in Taiwan. The Front Office Team was extremely friendly and professional. Along with the Concierge Team and the Horizon Club Team, they have delivered that high level of standard I have come to love and expect of any Shangri-La I visit around the world. Shout out to our food tour guide/concierge, Daniel, for taking us around the night market on Saturday! Would recommend people to take the Food Tour that’s complimentary for hotel staying guest that’s on Saturdays!

    Exceptional service


    My wife and I have stayed in several Shangri-La hotels and aside from the 5-star amenities offered, it’s always the exceptional service that makes a Shangrila hotel stand out from the rest. I would like to give special mention to the duty manager when we checked-in, Max. An honest mistake which I only realized upon check in, I booked the Far Eastern Tainan hotel instead of Taipei. I was going to be charged for cancelling the other hotel on top of premium rates for on the spot booking but Max went out of his way to make sure I do not get charged by the other hotel. Since it was our wedding anniversary, the concierge was very helpful in arranging for flowers to be delivered to the room to surprise my wife. Special mention to Oliver for going the extra mile for me. Another special shout out goes to Roger, the doorman. From the moment we checked in at 8am to drop off our luggages before we headed out to our tour, he made sure we had bottled water. He always greeted us with a smile and he made all guests who boarded their taxis or ubers get to their correct destination by informing the drivers. Always a pleasant stay at the Shangri-La.
