Aged and a bit smallWe family of 4 stayed there for 3 nights. The room with 2 double beds seems a bit small. From the decor and furnishing you can tell that the room hasn't been renovated in a while. When's the last time you needed an actual key to open a room? It's summer time and it took quite a while to cool down with the central AC. We checked thoroughly and could only find 3 wall plugs to charge our devices! The Wi-Fi signal is strong but it's unsecured and slow. Our room has a nice view of the river. The downside is minor traffic noise from the highways outside. Sound proof can be better. The best part we like is the free breakfast. There're tons of Chinese and western items. The staff are in general courteous and helpful, the ladies at the front desk need to smile more though. I'd think for the price I paid there should be better choices elsewhere.
Taiwan 2019Old hotel but clean though. Hotel lobby is new and modern though. Check in and out fast. Breakfast has a superb view of the river. You can walk to Ximending shopping area in 5 minutes. We stayed for one night only as we did our extension at another hotel closer to Taipei Main Station.

Nice BreakfastA nice place, quiet, and a good place to stay. We stayed in a triple room at the fourth floor, just the right size for my 2 grown kids and me. Love their complimentary coffee and tea. The breakfast is good. The downside in our stay is that because we had to leave at 6 am to catch our flight, they did not allow us to have an early breakfast even if I said that a sandwich would do.
out of placestayed in a triple room for 3 nights, room is very small (in the new wing). design of bathroom is poor, there is a gap between the roller binds where you will be seen when using the toilet (no privacy). very far from ximen station, do remember to book shuttle service in advanced with hotel that runs every 30mins. staff is not as friendly

Good placeStayed here for 6 nights, paid extra for a suite so room was very big, clean but carpets damaged in a few places. Staff friendly and polite, good check in and out. In a good position for local lively shopping area. Did not like seating arrangements for breakfast, no small tables so had to share with sometimes 7 other people on the same table. Food at breakfast limited but always found something edible. No bar only able to buy bottles of beer at reception for the room. In all, good for the price paid.
