    Friendly hotel

Perfect for short stay in Taipei. 10 min walk to Zhongzheng metro, great link to all you want to see. Staff went beyond the call of duty to help us recover bag left in hire car from airport. Good breakfast

    Perfect hotel - free laundry!

I stayed at Liz Hotel for 4 nights in October 2019. The hotel is located in the middle of the Taipei red light district (Linsen North Road) but do not let that deter you from staying there. The area is very safe, and not as vulgar as in other Asian countries. From the airport you can either take the airport MRT or a taxi for about 1200 NTD (40 USD). The hotel itself was very high quality, and the staff equally helpful (this is the case with all Taiwanese hotels, but Liz is not an exception). One very positive surprise was that laundry and drying of clothes was free! This is an absolute plus, as it either costs money at other hotels, or you need to find a laundromat somewhere in the city. Big thumbs up for that! I stayed in 3 different rooms and they were all very clean and had all the required amenities, toothbrush set, fridge etc. Also they had NO smell of mildew as often seen in older hotels in Asia. There is a breakfast service but I didn’t try it as I usually sleep through it. The hotel is within walking distance of Zhongshan MRT and Songjiang Nanjing MRT (about 10 min walk), and there are 100s of shops and restaurants in the area. A 7/11 is just on the other side of the street from the hotel. I paid 1800 NTD (59 USD) for a double room. Bear in mind the rates are higher during weekends. TIP: If you want a brilliant view of the city, ask for a room on the top floor. I do not recall the exact room number, but I believe it was 802 (NOT sure). The room is actually located on then 9th floor (with exit to the roof) but you take the elevator to the 8th floor and go up a staircase. Explain to the staff that you prefer a room on the top floor with view of the city and they will know which room you mean. I loved the hotel and will absolutely stay there next time I come to Taipei.

Staff at reception was very kind, smooth check in and check out experience. Hotel looks very small from outside, but when entered in the room, found good and clean. Need to see breakfast menu, it's too poor.

    Good option for Taipei

This is overall a good hotel. Clean rooms, good breakfast, free laundry, good, location. It is not spectacular, but it is a nice option for Taipei. The hotel is really easy to find, even though it is on a side street. From Taipei Main Station take the 307 bus. It stops almost in front of the hotel lane. The reason for the 3 rating is the bathroom. It is a fishbowl type of bathroom, with thin glass walls all around and near zero privacy. I see that a lot in Asia, and for the life of me I cannot understand it. Who thinks that this is appropriate?

    Wonderful Stay

Liz hotel's location is superb - surrounded by restaurants, malls and 2 metro stations are close to it. The hotel is very clean, and the size is just right, not too small unlike the other hotels. What I loved about the hotel is its customer service. The staff are so polite, very quick in responding to our requests. Good breakfast, too. This hotel is highly recommended.
