Professional and cute staffI would rate 4 stars for the location: it's near the MRT station, starbucks, next to a convenient store and opposite to a little park, it's not on the main street; therefore it's pretty quiet and peaceful. The facilities are not modern, a bit rusted or really old fashioned, neither the room design. However, the staff always try all their best to make it up for this by giving us cakes and be super helpful when we need help. This hotel would be ok for a budget trip.
worst hotel everVery dirty room, they don't even clean properly so there is hair on the carpet everywhere. Shower is really old and doesn't work well. Wifi wasn't working as well and even I told them about it, they didn't fix it. Never want to use this one.

old hotelThis hotel was not worth the fee.Good point is the location, from the nearest station, only 3 minutes walk is enough to reach. There are many convenience stores around, but this applies to other hotels in the center of Taipei.Room was old, equipments were not renovated. To express by one word, moisty.Staffs were friendly but that did not make up for the room being old.Meals served in the morning were so-so.In this price range, there are many alternatives considering the fee of Taipei being high.
Bad. Dirty. Location only AdvantageThis hotel is bad. Rooms are small, dirty and smell bad. Old smelly carpet. Bathroom wasn't cleaned well, floor and toilet had things on them better left unsaid in a public forum. Bed was uncomfortable and low quality. Everything felt dingy. Breakfast was as cheaply made as possible. Room fixtures look like they are 60 years old and/or from a junk shop. Window had a view of a cement wall. Not very much cheaper than adjacent hotels that are much better. For similar price range (about 2000 NT) Dong Wu is much better. Stayed here once before in a Japanese style room (bed on floor) with wood floors that was better, this time was unacceptable. Go elsewhere, unless you absolutely must be in this neighborhood. Service was actually quite good but hotel itself made that a moot point.
Very good service but room a bit dated.Very good service - eg upgraded my room to the highest quality room. Location is great. 3 mins walk to exit 8 Metro station. Given the small size of the hotel, it is surprisingly being indicated as one of the destinations of the metro's exit. Room is however a bit dated. The hotel was opened in 2008 when I stayed there once. However if you look for an average room with great location and service, you should consider staying there.
