It is nice to stay there, close to MRT. Nice Hotelemployees, nice rooms. Very confince with Bus. They have a own bakery, make bred and cakes. They have also a SPA with Pool at the roof. And importand for the night a silent airconditon.

    Rude restaurant manager

    2019-07

I am truly sorry to be giving this hotel one star only for it doesn’t deserve it: the room is very comfortable and spacious, the bed is amazingly comfy, the AC works great and the reception staff are fantastic. In spite of this, I am besides myself. Tonight, I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It’s a buffet and everything was delicious. After dinner, I had to go back to my room as I was feeling very hot and needed to use the restrooms in my room. I went back downstairs 50 minutes later as they were closing and kindly asked one of the waiters if I could use the machine to get an espresso. He was cleaning the ice cream freezers and was probably tired from his work day, which I understand. Without looking at me he said: “No!”. So I tried to explain that I had dinner there and I just wanted a cup of coffee. His reply in broken English was “we closing now, you want coffee, you pay!” Now, I totally understand it’s the hotel policy that if you leave the restaurant area you cannot go back. That’s fine, not very customer-oriented but whatever. Yet, there are ways to address paying guests. When I asked him who he was to report him, he said “ I’m the manager”! How can a nice hotel like this employ such a nasty person as their restaurant manager? I have asked to meet with the hotel director to discuss the rudeness of this person.

    Great location!

    2019-07

My third time staying here and I can't think of staying anywhere else! The location is amazing, accessible to all the major spots by foot or by metro. Breakfast buffet offers a variety of foods and they're all tasty! Staffs are friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Just wonderful.

    Amazing experience for our hoenymoon

    2019-07

We visited Taipei and Singapore for our honeymoon, and Taipei Garden Hotel was a highlight. The staff were very accommodating with our late night arrival, and gave us some wine for our special occasion 😊The room is extremely clean and upscale, but what makes it stand out is the SIZE of the beds. Don’t let the name “double” fool you: these beds are larger than a US King. We estimated we could fit five people on this bed! What was even better was the breakfast food: fresh French bread, soba noodles, dim sum, fruit, and specialty coffees, to name only a few. One of our concerns when booking the hotel was it’s distance to transit and tourist locations. I can assure you that was not a problem at all. The Green Line station was only 5 minutes away, the Blue line less than 10. But even better was the buses that pick up right outside the hotel. We went to Jiufen, and an express bus picked us up right outside the hotel!! I could say so much more but it wouldn’t fit in this review. All in all, 11/10 recommend! Tips: •XimenDing is v close for great shopping (Uniqlo, Miniso, Birkenstock, night market) •breakfast is worth the price •buses and trains are very close
