Second HomeI stayed for 4 days/nights in a wonderful room the 19th Floor. (Tai Pan). They know perfectly well how to make me feel at home. My last visit in this fine hotel was over a year ago and yet would they remember me. I felt welcome from the first to last moment. Nothing was left to chance at any stage. The buffet in Tai Pan Lounge was just beautiful and tasteful. On the picture, I show you only one very small detail. But it represents the entire organization’s attitude. The other picture is just the corridor of the 19th Floor. Plus one with the view from the Lounge Kevin at the reception is superb! I was sad to leave, honestly. But I am already now happy to return. See you!

ServiceI am very Impressed with the house keeper. She kept my room spotless clean the entire week of staying. The front desk staff were also amazing friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. This hotel is almost well organized and managed. The reason I give almost is because I do have one disappointment with the outcome on my check out. During my check out, I asked a front desk representative by name Megan to help me with a possible wrong credit card amount charge to my account. I explained to her during my 1st day when I check in, I remember the representative told me but wasn't sure if my room comes with 2 free breakfast buffet per day. I showed her my receipt from the hotel buffet restaurant charging me for four, if she could check her computer to confirm if I have this incentive ? she look it up on her computer confirmed that I am qualified to have two free buffet per day. I then followed up with her if she can help me crediting this breakfast bill which I paid $130 US dollars including tips for party of four. Since two were supposedly free If she could refund other adult buffet back to my account? Per her request, crediting is complicate since is at the restaurant , I need to leave my receipt with her so she can resolved it later of the day. The reason was due to my other room charge which maybe a conflict with this charge , She promised she will resolve it and have proper credit owe back to my credit card account by end of the day. It has been almost a week , my other credit card charge from the hotel is already in my statement and I haven't received any credit for the buffet. Overall , I like to give her credit for her courteous, friendly and willing to assist customer service . All meaningless due to a simple thing in my opinion such as this can't be resolved. I would have give 5 stars if it wasn't for this.
I was trappedI went down the elevator in the evening and took the shortest route to the front door。Half way through the hallway, l lost my balance and twisted my ankle badly. Then I find out that there is a hidden step. This is definitely a design error, and I do not think I am the first one who encounter this !

the best classic address to stay in TaipeiRegent is situated only few blocks away from the Taipei train station, in a old neighborhood walkable to restaurants & shops, expecially the high end luxury brands in the mall on same property right below the hotel (must visit the awesome espresso bar & fluffy pancake cafe in B1). We've received an upgrade upon check-in to a corner suite with the Amex FHR, and the entire hotel staff were always full of smile and ready to help any time. This is always the best classic address to stay in Taipei!(and away from all the busy touristic crownds in east side)
Best Hotel Experience I've ever had! This was absolutely the best hotel experience I have ever had! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. I also noticed that they had various staff who were able to speak several languages to accommodate travelers from all over. When we got to our room my significant other had a very minor inconvenience with the bathtub faucet. We called the front desk and they promptly sent someone up to take a look. Shortly after the inspection of the faucet, we received a call from the front desk assistant manager, Megan Peng, who was unbelievably nice to us. She apologized profusely for the inconvenience and even though we were totally fine staying in the room as the bathtub faucet had 0 impact on the shower or sink, she insisted that we allow her to let her move us rooms as an apology and to ensure we were completely comfortable. We caved and agreed to move rooms, to our surprise, did she not only move us rooms but she upgraded out rooms from a suite to a Corner Suite!!! The room was easily three times as large, had a dining table, a living room area and a separate bedroom. If that isn't amazing customer service then I don't know what is. Megan then proceeded to take care of us the remainder of our stay personally. She went above and beyond that just made our stay the most amazing hotel experience we have ever had. As far as my significant other and I are concerned, the only hotel we will stay at when visiting Taipei the twice a year we visit will be the Regent Taipei!!!
