    We stayed here for 10 nights earlier in the year. An excellent choice in Taipei. Room was perfect, immaculate servicing, nothing was a problem. Loved the bathroom and large bathtub. They also generously accommodated early check in and late check our around our flights. Live jazz in the evenings. We ate a few meals onsite and the breakfast is amazing, the buffet is something to experience, and I loved the hotel's famous beef noodle soup. Short walk to train and great foot massage places nearby.

    I love this hotel. Having flow overnight from the US, I arrived at 6am. Not expecting a check-in that early, I was delighted to be told a room was ready. When I got to the room, it had not been cleaned so I let the front desk know. It was no big deal for me as they had done me a favour and I’d have slept in any bed at that point! So to my surprise, the duty manager came up to apologise and move me to another room... a corner suit. It was insane. It was one of those happy moments in life! The standard rooms are lovely (as my colleague was already at the hotel) but this suite was something out of a movie! The hotel itself is spotless and gorgeous. The room, amenities, breakfast, facilities etc are top notch. And the service from the staff was consistently excellent across my stay. There is a metro stop nearby and plenty of taxis meaning travel was very easy. It also smells divine, which is ideal when you’ve been exposed to stinky tofu! As if they’d not done enough already, the hotel also gave me a 4pm late check out the next day and offered to pay for our onward travel (due to the room issue), which was not required but very kind. I hope to visit Taipei again on business and will no doubt be staying at the Regent.

    This hotel room conditions are good. But when do you return my deposit?

    We does already visited July 23, 2019. And we slept through only one night. So I paid the deposit 2000 TWD. But two weeks later, the deposit has not been refunded yet. So...when do you return my deposit?

    Upon check out, I was charged for 2 x 10TWD phone calls which I haven’t made. I have asked to take it off from the bill and the front desk receptionist been keep calling left right and centre and took forever to get nothing sorted. Of course, I have then said charge whatever they want and she started to give me the attitude look. In a 5 Stars hotel, first of all, I don’t expect local call will still be charged nowadays. Level of autonomy giving to the front line staff to waive a fee of just TWD20 will have to ask over many people is again non sense. Last, when the customer is upset, giving that look is the least you would expect. I would recommend for people to come to stay at the hotel at all.

    We stayed here for 4 nights and the balcony room is spacious and clean. Our family of 4 , especially the kids enjoyed their stay here. The balcony rooms come with access to the balcony lounge and my kids really love it there. Rae , the hotel staff ( balcony lounge) has been very helpful and sweet. Definitely will come back to stay whenever we are in Taipei
