    Elegant hotel

I was very impressed with the politeness and service of the front staffs. Also I felt satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. The location of the hotel is very good, close to the bus station, train station and the city centre. Highly recommend 👍

    Very Oriental and big room.

First impression walking in can be quite scary. As the decor is old Chinese palace oriental style. But don't worry, stayed and tested, it is not haunted. The room and bathroom is really big and clean. Housekeeping is really meticulous. Everything falls back in pack everyday like magic. Love the jacuzzi bathtub! Remember to bring bath salt. Toiletries are good quality, bath gel is made in Italy. Mini bar has a coke and pocari refilled everyday. 4 bottles of mineral water daily. Daily breakfast is quite repeated. But coffee, yogurt drink and cheese selection is good. Bacon and ham are soaked in hot water which is quite weird and tasteless thou.

Old fashioned quiet hotel with easy access to everything

I stayed in room 515, a twin room with very comfortable beds and a working desk. Old fashioned furniture including two comfortable armchairs in a huge room flooded with light from the big windows overlooking the street and car park. Bathroom had huge jacuzzi (slow to fill) with a separate power shower cubicle. Designer sanitary ware by Kohler in a well stocked mirrored bathroom. Toilet had a specific way of working by placing the flush handle aligned carefully. Breakfast was great with selection of breads - brown with walnut; rye. Cold fried eggs; selection of fresh fruits with plain yoghurt or apple yoghurt. Big choice of Asian vegetarian as well as meat dishes. I will definitely stay here again as it is in a very peaceful neighbourhood but walking distance (across the street) from a big shopping mall and the MRT.

“Bask in luxury, posh and elegance “

The moment I stepped inside the room, I felt like I was somewhere in Europe instead of Taipei, Taiwan.High- ceilinged, huge bed, a divan, a secretary, and a Louis XvI style reclining couch and a table perfect to entertain an afternoon tea with my friend, it is Perfect! The bath suite is complete with a jacuzzi, a separate shower with glass door well equipped with towels and toilletries . I love the separate commode! The morning breakfast takes your breath away to a conglomeration of choices ranging from western to European and of course the best of Chinese cuisine! After a several days of touring the island of Taiwan , Capital Hotel Daizhi is a beautiful “ home to come to” to unwind and vegetate inside the posh and elegant surroundiing. I think this one is a treasure needing to be discovered.

Three nights in comfortable quiet place

We chose Capital Hotel Dazhi for three nights stay due to its proximity to Taipei Marriot, venue of scientific conference we attended. Marriot and other recommended conference hotels were too expensive for our budget. Capital Hotel is also conveniently close to Carrefour shopping mall with excellent food court (Food Republic). The hotel is located in not too busy street and it is therefore quiet. Check-in was fast and smooth, reception staff was effective and they spoke good English. Somewhat surprising was absence of doormen or bellboys, we had to handle our luggage from taxi up to our room. We were quite taken aback by decorations and furniture in the hotel, which are trumpery by European standards. However, our room was spacious and comfortable. It was the first time we ever slept in a canopy bed. The room had flat screen TV, bureau with chair, lounge with coffee table, small cabinet containing cups and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facility. Bed tables were somewhat impractical, most of their tops being occupied by large standing lamps. Wardrobe was in a small hallway and contained a strongbox. Pleasant surprise was luxury bathroom with jacuzzi and separate cubicles enclosing lavatory and shower. Toiletries were provided, including shaving kit, and replaced every day. The hotel has spacious restaurant open only for breakfast. The food was mediocre but plentiful. The restaurant staff was not especially polite or helpful, asking for breakfast voucher before even saying good morning.
