BR Wenhu Line Nanjing Fuxing
Well LocatedWhen I arrived, I was amazed at how incredibly crowded the lobby was. There is a bakery, and then there were people waiting to check in, people waiting sitting down, and people waiting standing up. Check in was prompt and the room I had was comfortable. The aircon was noisy even in eco mode. The amenities are pretty standard. This is a tourist class hotel. The major plus is that it is situated at two subway lines.
Older property but well maintainedThis is a somewhat older property but make no mistake it’s well maintained. The location is fantastic- steps away from Nanjing Fuxing MRT. Also just a couple of stops away to Raohe st night market.....Several street vendors in the alleys around especially in the morning. In the evenings right next to the alley by Watson’s there is a pork bun vendor- do not miss!!! There is also a bakery in the lobby-was very popular with the locals. The lobby restaurant is open late till 3 am too ..... I had the standard room, quite small-the view sucked but given the convenient location, how well maintained it is and of course the price-this is an excellent choice.
modern, accessible, amazing foodThe hotel is located at the junction of two subway lines and you can get practically anywhere in Taipei from here. The rooms are small but modern. We booked one room for 3 people and it came with one massive bed (maybe a solid foot and a half wider than a king) and one twin bed. Three people could easily sleep on the large bed and still have room to comfortably add a fourth. The room lights can be controlled from a panel in the headboard, so you can turn off the lights after climbing into bed. The bathroom has a bidet and complementary toothbrushes, toothpaste, extra soaps, were already on a shelf under the sink so you don't even have to ask for them. I am thoroughly impressed with the thoughtfulness and convenience of their amenities. There is a cafe/restaurant that serves Western-style Continental breakfast trays. Alternatively, there is an amazing Chinese-style breakfast buffet on the 13th floor that serves the best lu rou fan I've ever had.

Convenient baseVisited Taiwan to see son who works there. Arrived at Taipei and wanted a couple of nights before travelling elsewhere in Taiwan. Three of us had a room together which was quiet and had good blackout curtains. Breakfast buffet was good and catered for all tastes (eggs cooked to order). Convenient location next to the MRT (city metro). Public areas a little dated but our room was fine.
