Fantastic Hotel for our 10 day stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this quality hotel. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent bathrooms and service. The breakfast was very good and varied. I want to say thank you to all the staff and in particular Vicky. Nothing was ever any trouble. Great to have a self service laundry and a gym too. Lots of taxis and Uber so location was not an issue. We have stayed all over Taipei and this is the best. Coming back next year.

I have been to Taipei since the 80"s

“have traveled to Taiwan since the 80s and this year for myself and to the Palace Museum which can never be enjoyed enough. I found Yusense on-line and based it on its proximity to the museum and knowing how inexpensive and convenient ground transport is. the hotel staff are over the top in being unobtrusive, helpful, and solicitous. Mr Lin, the Executive Director, took me on a tour of his father’s wood carving collection and shared an ad hoc single malt tasting with his sister in their lounge. a family runned 5-star gem with a soul. every detail is man-made, thoughtful. a beautiful tranquil retreat. my room overlooked a forested hill. i bet it is the center of the renewal of a modest but completely safe area. i’ll be back with a glenrothes!”

    Very pleasant

This is a clean, cheerful place brilliantly located for access to the National Palace Museum and staffed by helpful people with excellent English. My only suggestion would be to try to provide some sort of dinner service in the restaurant.

    Clean, Elegantly Furnished and Restful

Very well appointed rooms, top marks for design (elegant zen-style). Good for those who appreciate privacy, and quiet surroundings. Very clean rooms! Although it is not near the MRT, it is walking distance from the National Palace Museum. Taxis are available - front desk can call. Staff are helpful and polite.

Wonderful service, but a tad of inconvenience

Seeing how the others gave rave reviews about this hotel, I really hope this won't bring their scores down too much. There is no doubts about their service standards, their priority is the guests and if you are one who deeply values that, please stay with them. A staff send us up to our room and orientated us to their facilities and all. Before I went, I enquired about Yang Ming San and they printed out details for me on it! It was a pleasant little surprise. The room was spacious and there were sufficient TV movie channels, laundry facilities, news papers (in Chinese though) and free munchies and fruits replenish on a daily basis. Design of the hotel was somewhat Japanese and Chinese modern interiors, simple and clean cuts. I booked this hotel cos I really want to access Yang Min San and National Palace Museum easily. It's within walking distance to Palace Museum and to get to Shilin Night Market, just take R30, 小18/小19 bus, takes about 20-30 mins ride. Anywhere you want to go to, just ask the staff and they are ever ready to provide you with help. What fell short for me is that there is absolutely nothing else near by except for a Family Mart and Fire Station. To get some proper food, the Family Mart is the ONLY choice, which posed some inconvenience in rainy weather and the options are so limited. I wanted to order food to the room, but dinner order was closed at 4:30 pm. I really regretted not eating at the Museum before heading back. There was so few people around to make the place lively. At the breakfast venue, I have only seen 1 other guest. So breakfast fare was pleasant on the first day, but when the menu was exactly the same with limited option (3 options exactly, and there are repeating stuff between the options) ... it became boring, though service was still high. To make up for the short fall, I suggest providing transport service to the metro and night market will be a draw, even a bus ride to the Yang Ming Shan will be so much looked forward to. They should think of more ways to pull in the crowd to a building so big and quiet. The lobby is at lvl 3 instead of 1. So when I first enter the hotel, I really thought I went to the wrong building. There was absolutely no one in sight and the feeling was cold and awkward. It's important to enter the hotel feeling welcomed and inviting upon entering. I valued the tranquility of the hotel, but when it's so quiet, the feel becomes eerie and uninviting.
