A bit overpriced for what it isThe hotel seems to be in a renovated apartment/office building. The room is quite basic, and some of the power outlets were broken. The bathroom was quite large and very functional with its rain shower and bidet toilet. The room was a bit dusty and could use a good clean. The nearest MRT station is about 10 minutes walk but there are some buses near by.
Awesome stay!Comfortable bed. I should not use "friendly" instead i will say nice staff. Shower is quite fancy. room decor is very nice and trendy, room is quite spacious compared to most Taipei accommodations of this price range. Everyday McD breakfast as the kitchen is under renovation. Need to walk a distance to town area.
Quirky and ComfortableA friend booked us into this hotel; it is my first visit to Taiwan. Not the best location for sightseeing, but the weather is so hot, that may be OK. The rooms are charmingly furnished with tiled floors, large bathroom with separate shower and toilet area. Very nice amenities. Room is quiet. Air con would not come on when I first went into my room and someone from the front desk had to come and fix it. The second day, after housekeeping came, again they needed to reset it. The shower is very modern with many sprays, good water pressure and water temperature. The clothes closet in my room was rather hidden—a panel in the wall with the only clue a small knob that blended with the decor. A safe is also in the closet. Breakfast is just a McDonald’s egg/ham sandwich, orange juice and hash brown. Very disappointing. There is a small sitting area on the 3rd floor with a coffee maker and hot water/cold water machine. You can take your ‘breakfast’ and eat it there. Restaurants in the area are around the corner, several seafood restaurants, a US-style lobster/steak place, an Indian restaurant and a ramen noodle place. The main train station is about a mile away. There is a shopping mall of mostly electronics and computers just two blocks away.

All good except too mean for granting honeymoon specialThis hotel got everything you need and wish by way of convenient, stylish, and cleanness. The new refurbishment made it more popular by youngsters. I like the free area they provided for anyone to sit in, self-serve pantry providing capsule coffee, cookies, and other drinks. You can chill awhile there with free wi-fi if you arrive a bit early than check-in time. The bathtub and shower room is awesome, you will even want to take some photos inside the room! The only bad things should be the unattractive view from the room as it built on the main road, however; lucky the room is quite quiet as we once afraid there will be traffic noise issue for this hotel is built on the main road. One thing about this hotel is they have honeymoon special for couples travel to their hotel within 1 month after the wedding, it is a free upgrade on room type but they stick with the dates must be within 1 month so even a bit further they won't grant you with such offer.
Lovely room lovely hotel not perhaps the best viewThe hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and speak English, the facilities are modern and the AC is great (though again may take a few to figure out since the buttons are in Chinese but not that hard). Unlike other places in the world where you may travel to Taiwan and at least the Ciao hotel thinks has all the necessary basic amenities. For example there was no need for us to use an adapter at the hotel. The sockets installed are universal. Toothbrushes with toothpaste is provided, shampoo, lotion, body gel and soap are all there. In addition, it had perhaps the best shower I have ever experiences in my life!! THE BEST it was a rain shower with side body showers and a removable shower with a hose, I wish I had one for my flat. Also I can't help but be happy with the bidet in the room, automated and great!!! (the only down side is the the buttons and instructions are written in Chinese though most of the main functions had pictures so it really shouldn't be that hard to figure out). Breakfast is served between 7-11 so plenty of time. If anything my only complaint was that breakfast wasn't great. You get a voucher when you check in for the breakfast. I mean its good if you just want to fill yourself up with something. There is toast/bread and some congee, eggs, bacon, and small munchies but nothing really out of this world. There is coffee upon request (or tea) but again nothing great. I guess since your in Taiwan and food is so great, we actually ended up eating out and for really really cheap (£1-£2 a person). Though there is that additional downside. Though it is located near a very popular street in Taipei (where Sogo and the Sun Yat San memorial hall is) its not exactly near those places. It is near the technology heaven/shops of Taipei so if you are a techie this is the dream place to stay, otherwise it is about a 5-10 min walk to the nearest MRT stop which lets you cheaply connect to everywhere else in the city so not horrible.
