    Clean, friendly staff !

This is a very nice hostel and the staff is very friendly. Rooms are alright, some do not have windows and some does have (depending if you book a standard or basic room) so be careful if you need some natural lights. The bedding comes with a blanket and a pillow and each bed has a curtain for privacy which is very appreciable. The free breakfast is delicious and prepared by the staff in the morning. You can purchase nice soft drinks and beers from the reception during the day too. The staff was super nice and helped me to book my train ticket to Hualien. There is a luggage room if you arrive early and the common areas are pretty small but comfortable. There is a night market nearby and you are from walking distance to few metro stations. I highly recommend that place.

    Cleanest hostel

I stayed here in November 28th until December 2nd, in my first solo trip. Taiwan is safe country for a solo woman traveller. I arrived late night, take bus to Formosa101 hostel, their web showed easy direction for all vehicle you take. Staff were nice and helpfull, check in and check out was eficient. The hostel were so clean, i bring my own slipper to wear inside the hostel. My room consist two single bed with window facing the city street, one working desk and chair. Spacious enough for me to pray (shalat). Shared bathroom were clean and i didn't met any difficulty about the bathroom. Breakfast were simple, bread, fruit, coffee and tea, but that's enough to start your day. You can just walk from the hostel to one of night market and try their food, or walk to 101 building. Starbuck and other coffee shop were near.

Very nice and accommodating staff. It meet more that expectation when it comes to service of staff. Indeed, when I came back, I would come again in this hostel.Very clean and homey environment ,near to the night market for shopping and authentic chinese dishes.

Very, very good choice if need a place to crash

The best thing about the place is its location. It's close enough to get to public transportation (about 10 minutes on foot to get to the train station either on the Red Line - where Taipei 101 is - or the Brown Line), and yet it's far enough that you can enjoy some peace and quiet at night. Additionally, location-wise, it's close to the Tonghua Night Market. It's small compared to the other bigger night markets in Taipei, but still you have a whole range of choices for shopping and eating. There's a 7-11 nearby, and the entire stretch of Keelung/Jilong Rd from the hostel to Xinyi Rd. are studded with restaurants and bars. I just needed a place to sleep, take a shower, cool my heels, and store my stuff in between my going around Taiwan for a bit. And this is one of the best options I found. I stayed in the all male dorm and I am happy that the bed is more than enough for my needs. Furthermore, since I only carried a backpack, the locker is also enough for my needs as well. I like how clean the place also is. It's very clean. The rooms, the common area, and even the shower and toilet areas are clean. The shower and toilet areas are a little cramped, but hey, we're in Taiwan. They maximize space whenever they can. What I also enjoyed a lot is how friendly the staff are. Like they are really friendly, cheerful, and easy to talk with. I like it when I see staff that are proactive and have this light and fun mood when interacting with guests. It makes the place feel warmer and cozier. Oh, and they can speak English so that's a huge plus. One staff even speaks Korean as well. Breakfast is the usual fare of toast, bagels (but with a ton of choices on the spreads!), coffee, tea, fruits, and cheese. But again, if you're going to spend a big bulk of the day outdoors, it's not too much of a problem. Pity that I didn't know about their local activities that the hostel itself offers. Had I known, I would have scheduled my itinerary to include some. Maybe next time. If I'm going back to Taiwan for a similar trip, I'll definitely go back here.

    Happy travel

Nice place! Thanks to Parker. I have a good experience here.
