Wonderful placeYou can absolutely take advantage of everything what Nangang Station offers when you stay here. Plus, this hotel offers great service and food. Staffs are all wonderful, especially Executive Lounge ladies, front desk staffs, and Ivy at the breakfast restaurant. I have no desire to stay at any of other hotels in Taipei, this is the best, especially someone like me visiting Taipei for business, I can get to Taichung station within 1 hr from Nangang station which is connected to the hotel. I can totally avoid taking taxi to the Taipei station by staying at this hotel.
Sw Grand Mound,
First trip to TaiwanFirst off, we loved this place. Our room was quiet, spacious and clean for the 5 of us. We had just flown in from our 7 day trip from Tokyo and we were scheduled to stay in Taipei for 7 days as well. The staff here were so welcoming just like Tokyo. We had lounge access and our daily breakfast got us ready for the many adventures we had in Taipei. Happy hour included a good selection of food and drinks as well. The lounge is located on the top floor and the views were very relaxing with Taipei 101 in the background. The hotel is located on top of Nangang train station with a mall attached. 7-11 is conveniently located at the bottom floor which has everything you need. Like Tokyo, the transit system is very clean and efficient. Getting around the city from here is simple. Our only complaint we had was that our vacation went by too fast. We loved everything about the hotel and all the warm staff. We miss Taipei already and we would definitely stay here again.
Business HotelWe were here for a week for a sales conference meeting. The hotel sits above the Nangang MRT station, the TRA station (railway) and the THR station (high speed rail). Besides the transport advantages, if you are a tourist, i will not recommend this hotel to you. The Citylink Mall is quite small and have a few good restaurants. For a sales conference - the staff and food were great. The portion was insane and very wasteful. The tea break offered great snacks and hot items but the earl grey tea was quite thick and bitter. 101 is nearby with cab charge about NT210. Bed mattress is a bit hard. Room is standard like all hotels. Best of all, we love the hotel lobby bar. The drinks were very good. "old fashion" was a new drink i love and it was done with so much care, including a nice round ice-ball by the bartender. The cocktails for Halloween was also delightful

Long weekendThe hotel is a bit out of town but it has great transport facilities as it sits on top of a terminal for MRT, HSR, train and bus. It is not noisy and you may not be aware it is all there mostly underground. Easy to organise your trips from here. The hotel is spacious and clean. Staff are keen to help and offer ideas. Shopping facilities and restaurant just below. I dont go to the pubs at night so it suits me fine. It is very safe to walk around.
My Home In TaipeiI've been to Taipei 3 times in the past couple of years. I can't compare this hotel to others in Taipei as this property is perfect for me and I haven't consider others. The hotel is new and modern and the service is consistently friendly. I have nothing negative to say about this Courtyard. Through Marriott Bonvoy Rewards I have access to the executive lounge which is probably the nicest and possibly the largest of any of the hotels I've stayed at. Food at breakfast and in the evening is plentiful. There is a chef on duty to prepare eggs in the a.m. and a typical Taiwan dish of some kind in the evening. But there is also a steam table with multiple selections. In my experience the hotel usually doesn't feel crowded even when it's full. The lobby is very large and seems able to accommodate as many guests as necessary. Nangang District is not the centre of Taipei. There are businesses on the streets nearby and there is a multi-storey mall adjoining the hotel (although it isn't obvious. Getting from the hotel to central Taipei (or further afield in Taiwan) is ridiculously convenient. The hotel sits above the Nangang MRT station, the TRA station (railway) and the THR station (high speed rail). In the past I've arrived from and left for TPE (airport) either by the dedicated Airport MRT express (airline bag check at Taipei Main Station) or by High Speed Rail. They are both excellent and depending on the destination one or the other could be the best option. But both require some sort of short shuttle from TPE to the respective stations. THR does go Nangang after one or two stops. The Airport Express MRT would require a transfer to the regular subway at Taipei Main Station for folks going beyond the main station. However, on any future visits I will be using the airport bus. Bus 1843 runs every 30-45 mins. There is a bus depot at the airport (both terminals) and after two or three stops the bus terminates at Nangang West Bus Station. The bus station is across the hall from the hotel. Travel time likely isn't too much different for any of these methods, 60-90 mins. Much of the time comes down to how long you have to wait before the bus, train or subway departs. The bus fare is 145 TWD and buses accept Easycard. Easycard is essential in Taipei, it's main use is for transit of course but it's also accepted as payment in many shops.
