ComfortableThis hotel is near to TMS or NTU hospital station (located at 2/28 Peace Park). A lot of shops nearby, you won't starve. Most of the hostel check ins visitors at 3pm, but they allowed me to check in around 2 pm. The place is chic. The room is small (as for mine, single bed) but clean and comfy. The AC is super cold and yeah it managed to beat Taiwan's hot and humid august weather. It has TV as, free toiletries and small towels. Shared bathrooms are clean and there are washing machine and dryer as well (for a fee). Definitely a hotel that I'll visit again.
Good hotel in great locationWe made a looking for Family room. The rooms was big and very clean. Bathroom was small but functional and they provided all toiletries for guest. Location is closed to.main Taipei station with walking distance. Plenty of street food downstairs. However, you can hear the neighbors talking in the midnight and it really annoyed when they shut the door loudly. Other than that, we had a great stay.
Good Location. Nice room too.I love the location of this hotel. It’s so near the Taipeh Main Station and seems central to everything you need. Hotel is on the 4th floor of an old building. What is surprising is that the room had a beachy, modern look. I took the advice of one of the contributors here and got the room with City View as I did not want to stay in a room without windows. It was the right choice. I had a big window, basically one side of the room. Although I didn’t spend time looking at the street view, it was a great feeling that you can see the street from outside. The bathroom was definitely on a small side but still functional and all the fixings were modern and seems new. I didn’t get a chance check other areas of the hotel as it’s not exactly a hang-out kind of a hotel. It’s more of place to come back to after a day of touring the city. Like one of the contributor said, the easiest way to find the hotel would be to use the M6 exit in the central station. As you exit, the first thing you will see would be the Main Station’s building across the road. You just look to your left and you will see a Family Mart. Walk towards the Family Mart direction and pass by around 3 shops after Family Mart. At the end of that building block is a signage in Chinese but there’s an English translation words that says “ Taxi pickup area”. That means you’ve reached the edge of that building block. If you look at your right side, across the street, you will also be looking at the left edge of the Taipeh Main station building. Anyway, turn left and you will pass by an Apple store (Studio A), Hi-Life convenience store, Chungwha Telecom and 1828 Herbal Tea (Blue façade). Cross the side street to the next block, (Sunyoung would be the name of the building you will clearly see as you cross. This is the block where the hotel is located. It would be on your left side. You will pass by stalls selling food and usually (depending on time), a lot of people are lined-up, buying food. York Hotel has this light signage that changes into English and Chinese translation. But if you keep your sight on your left side, you will see the black and white signage clearly. You know you are in the right building if you see a red building across the street, fronting it which is a noodle shop name Sukiya. Just go straight to the small elevator (there are two) and go to the 4th floor. As you spend more days, you will see otherentrance/exits that goes to the Main station other than M6. I would suggest using M6 if its your first time then just use other exits after. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes. Solo travelers would be okay on this hotel.

Nice hotel for short trip lonelyThe hotel’s location is perfect to me. It’s near Taipei Main Station, where is very convenient. The environment is clean. It is a good choice for solo traveler. In addition, I have walked to Ximending nearby for late-night supper.
Great location but so-so roomWas in a shared bath room with no window. In the basement Pros: Small room but good enough for me was just there to sleep. Great location. Close to Taipei main station. Cheap and can pay by credit card. Cons: Toilet was not really clean. Room smells weird had like a humid smell probably due to basement and no window maybe.
