Strong Smell of Sulphur EverywhereThis place have very strong smell of sulphur everywhere. You can see steam coming out from the ground and feel the heat from the ground. The sulphur smell could be uncomfortable. Recommended for a stopover visit.

Liuhuanggu Hot SpringA former sulphur mining site and transform to be one of the preserved site of Yang-min-Shan National park area. The former mining pond with its calm greenish water and backdrops of former mining hills provide scenic spot for relax. Some local picnic with their family here and there is a trail along the lake. Nearby there is a hot spring where the locals from neighbouring village comes here for the foot bath. Although it is not a destination, it can be a rest stop to stretch out after hours travelling the Yang Min-Shan are. There is a public washroom at this stop. The more prominent hot spring in Yang Min-Shan is Lengshuikeng. We do not have a chance to go in to the site during the time of our visit due to too many local visitors as it is a public holiday and on long queue unless we wanted to walk in. Hence we end up in Liuhuanggu.
