clean good pleasantThis hotel seems expensive coming from Thailand but for Taiwan i guess it is ok, it was clean, nice enough close to the MRT,, nothing bad nor that special about it I am not sure what the deal is with the heated seat toilets, i mean it is just a toilet
Enjoyable StayNice staff, good room size, comfortable bed, and excellent price point - what’s not to love. It’s well located for any adventuring around the city. I stayed to use their wonderful sauna and decent hotel gym (thought the carpeting was a little weird and dated for a workout area.) It’s more of a 4*, but that should be obvious.
Bad experience and below average as 5-star hotelIt’s my 1st time trying local Taiwanese brand hotel, Even though it’s rated 5 stars, I will not stay again because it’s kind of disappointed when we pay more and the hotel didn’t deliver as expected. So, if you are use to international brand, you may not like it just like us. Good: - check in was fast - Executive Twins room is spacious with a big sofa and sitting area - Bathroom is big with separate shower room, bath tub and toilet - Clean n tidy - Front desk staff are friendly Not good: - location appears to be “remote” n does not have convenient shops like 7-11, family marts, eating places, bakery, etc, nearby - Buffet breakfast’s variety n taste is disappointed for an Asian 5-stars hotel - Staff at the breakfast outlet are not professional as they are chit-chatting among themselves very loudly while serving or attending to guests - The restaurant staff do not appear to be friendly n one of the chef who was preparing pancake at counter was speaking or complaining very loudly in hokkien about something... - When we arrived at the lobby, there was some weird or not so pleasant smell to welcome us - something that I do not appreciate - Room also with some dated or unpleasant smell - Bad experience: when we check into the room, my husband stepped on a piece of broken glass left on the floor. His foot was cut n bleed. Immediately, called duty manager close to 11.30pm for help as we checkin late - Request for change of room as we have young children traveling with us n we did not want to take any risk. Waited for a replacement room n by the time the room is ready n we moved our baggage over, we only managed to sleep at 1am - Even though the duty manager apologize for the incident, it’s a bad experience for us thinking that we can immediately rest after a long traveling day. This incident due to cleaning was not done properly, dragged us another 45-60min for first aid kits, replacement of room, etc. - Even though our room was with “Do Nor Disturb” sign when we were out for breakfast, we were surprised that our room was in the mid of cleaning when we were back from breakfast! - Again, we have to wait for the staff to complete the cleaning before we can get ourselves ready to our sightseeing - The duty manager apologize the incident n acknowledge that they should not do that when I raised my concern. Yet, I really do not appreciate n expect these happened in a 5-stars hotel
Very Good and comfortableI stayed there for9 nights for a business trip. Got an upgrade to an executive room. Large room with double bed. A small balcony. Bed was too hard but I gat a very thick foam topper for thE second night and it was perfect. Good service, nice breakfast buffet. Only drawback is the noise from the street.
Large Rooms Good ValueA 5 star hotel in the heart of Taipei. Large rooms with good amenities and a good breakfast spread. A very comfortable hotel for tired travellers. Popular with the Japanese and Koreans. Book early to get good rates.
