i was willing to have a pizza

and when the "pizza" arrived it didn't look really like a pizza BUT i decided to give it a try and to be honest it was good... really good. but you cannot think that you are eating pizza. pizza is another thing. the one that they serve (i like it) it is kind of thick focaccia and on top of it they put the condiment. i suggest to try Siciliana. Beautiful environment, very artistic. Nice personnel, but prices are a bit too high. Overall worth a visit.

    Everyone meant well

After failing to see anything gastronomically tempting within a few blocks of amba hotel, I took a seat in 5th floor Chiba (which doubles as the breakfast room until 10:00 a.m.). I was still on an artistic high following the best performance thus far for this particular Asia trip (Tosca at the National Theatre). Sadly, the meal couldn’t match that excellence. Unfortunately, my server and I had communication problems (unable to summon a Taiwan beer without an intervention form the affable bartender, I could only wonder why management wouldn’t provide a few basic language lessons, given the many tourists that frequent his establishment). My second server readily provided a bowl of the ham-corn soup, which was warm if watery and bland. As the main event, the cheeseburger was a big improvement on the soup and the French fries were nicely cooked, if too cold to be delectable. A glass of Beringer Merlot (the Aussie Shiraz being sold out), helped ease the general disappointment, but replaying Puccini’s magnificent arias in mind’s eye most certainly helped end the day on a positive note.

    Awesome food

Polite and helpful staff. Ambiance of the resto itself is artistic and cozy. Pipe in music sounds very cool. Great presentation of food. Very delicious. Price wise - reasonable!!!

    Tasty breakfast

As i stayed in this hotel so i only have tried the breakfast here. There have a variety food for western and asia and had changed a little bit everyday. Overall the taste is good and don’t skip the breakfast here as you have a nice environment to eat your breakfast.

We have breakfast at the restaurant for one morning. As compare to most Asia hotel breakfast, it is below average and don't recommend it. There are more choices to eat in near by restaurants.
