Lan's Taiwanese Sandwich Shop 藍家割包

Anchor point
No. 3, Alley 8, Lane 316, Sec. 3, Roosevelt Rd., Zhongzheng Dist., Taipei City Taiwan, R.O.C

Located in the Gongguan area, this shop is a popular spot for hungry students from nearby National Taiwan University. Taiwanese sandwiches are made from a sliced steamed bun filled with a mix of fat and lean soy stewed meat, cilantro, peanut powder, and pickled Chinese mustard or pickled cabbage. Lan's serves up an especially tasty version of this traditional snack. Make sure to also try the "Four Spirits" soup, made with a concoction of fortifying Chinese medicinal herbs.

    Must try food in Taipei

I came here twice for the corn soup. It’s the best food here as Taiwan food is too sweet and oiled and I hope the restaurant will reduce the plastic bag for the buns

    A must for streetfood lovers

Incredible Pork belly Guao bao ! The soups are also quite good but the Guao bao is the highlight. You must try it if you are a the streetfood lover, the place is small and a little bit hidden but the food is really worth it. It truly is a hidden gem.

    Very good steamed bun!

No wonder there are people liming up for this steamed bun. It is flavorful and cheap! Bought one and had it for lunch.

    Bao Wow!!

This definitely lived up to the hype! Was the best Bao we have had in Taipei! We were lucky to come at a time when there wasn’t much of a line. We tried both the half half and a full fat version of the Bao. Would definitely recommend the half half as it is a good place of pork and flavor! My partner added some chili sauce to hers which she found quite tasty! Over all worth coming here to try one! They are 60TWD Each! Check out the photos!

    Don’t miss THIS!

If you are eating your way through Taipei and don’t get down this way you’re not getting it. Yes, this is the best of the traditional sammy. Wait! There’s more! This entire neighborhood is in my opinion, food central. This is where all those cheap snacks in the countless Night Markets grow up! The prices are a little better and the quality is exponentially better! Not to be missed.
