Served on pushcarts in a genuine style of Cantonese High Tea, the colorful dim sum options available at Plum Blossom Room include shrimp dumplings, seafood rolls and crab roe shumai. Among the best-sellers are deep-fried shrimp rolls, rice noodle rolls, roasted cabbage, and juicy seafood-stuffed buns, a must-try.
For those planning to throw banquets, engagement parties, or wedding receptions, the restaurant offers Taiwan abalone with scallops, crab and shark fin stew, lobster, and various other dishes for any desired menu combination.

Less than mediocre.Having tried 6 dishes, I can fairly say that the quality was nothing special, average if that. Better dim sum is available easily in major Canadian cities. The dishes averaged 100NTD each. We were charged 300NTD for a pot of tea that was refilled twice. Not sure if this was a scam - we didn't ask for anything special and the price seemed exorbitant - though we didn't know it I til we got the bill. We were seated in a windowless area of the second floor of the Plum Room. Avoid this low ceilinged, windowless dungeon. It lacks ambience of any sort. Disappointed.
Over price and poor serviceDim sum dishes are delicious. However, some meat dishes are over priced. We order one pork dish which was less then 10 slices of meat and cost 400 NT. Totally ripped off! Service was pool, unfriendly waiters and waitresses. They forget our orders twice. I would not recommend at all. In Taipei you can find much better restaurant then this one.
Not shabby at allBrother Hotel is an older establishment in Taipei. If you have watched the Fight Scene in Rush Hour movie (in an old decrepit Chinese restaurant), this would be it. I don't mean this in a bad way but in actual fact, in an endearing way. You still get to see the waiters and waitresses in their bygone attires and that gave this place an air of authenticity, and not pretending to be something that it is not. Heading to the 2nd floor, that's where the Dim Sum (yamcha) offering is. Around 11am, you would expect a huge queue or huge group of people who have taken their numbers and awaited to be seated. Yes, a decent Dim Sum's restaurant in Taipei Central is hard to find indeed. The food offering is rather good. The only downside is that it's a bit chaotic at times. The waiters with their trolleys don't seem to have a cohesive travel map and so, they would go willy nilly. People would be filling in the forms of food to order and yet, they never seemed to arrive or arrived too late. And so, you would see chaotic scene of guests hailing for their services from all corners. Apart from that, the food here is reasonably priced and it's a restaurant that's worth visiting indeed.
Fantastic dim sum experience in TaipeiWent on a Sunday with friends and had a wonderful experience, and will sure return for more. Food quality of Cantonese dim sum is excellent and of high standards, considering the fact that we are in Taiwan. What truly stands out is the pleasant and gracious service from the service team, they remained quite calm and helpful in a packed restaurant. A further plus would be the push trolley service which we seldom see, even in HK. Would love to return during future visits to the city.

Decent Dim SumThe variety and execution of dim sum dishes is on par with average to better than average dim sum places in the U.S. The facilities and decor could use an upgrade, but overall this place is a decent choice if you have a craving for dim sum foods.
