    Simply Awesome

A very poshly furnished restaurant with luxurious deco touches. Grand chandeliers on the ceiling and real peacock feathers as one of the wall features! A gastronomic experience that simple dishes were presented beautifully. Fresh and good quality seafood. As our entourage was rather large, we dined in a private room. Their staff were very customer centric, attentive to customers needs and were agile to adapt to the changes when we requested. We had some friends who were on vegetarian menu. They made sure to explain the dishes that they served. We had a great time taking group photos with the night sceneries in the private room. Again their staff readily offered to take the pictures for us without having us asking for it. The whole experience edged up one level when the Chef who prepared our meal came to our room to meet us, after dinner. An awesome place for Muslim guests as they serve halal friendly menu too!

    Outstanding service

We made a reservation to have dinner at Ding Xian 101. The staff was welcoming and they even gave us a tour around the restaurant after our meal. They showed us the biggest ballroom and the amazing views from the top. There was no view when we were eating as it was very cloudy then. The view was great when the sky cleared up after. We ordered food from the halal menu and the portion was huge. We enjoyed the experience in the restaurant.

BEAUTIFUL environment, but I hate sea food

A company that we were discussing business with, wanted to impress us. They asked about ‘food preferences’ and when I said ‘I don’t really like fish’, they said ‘No problem’ and booked Ding Xian 101 😂 The place is beautiful, with tall ceilings and classic French art/design - but the menu is a problem for me. When I mentioned this to my hosts, they replied, “But it’s not fish, it’s seafood”. Ho hum. From speaking with other friends who have dined here - the Ding Xian dining experience seems to vary too much for such a classy looking restaurant. The ‘hit and miss’ aspect means that it’s a gamble - which at these prices is hard to justify.

Classic luxury seafood Chinese restaurant located high above ground

This is a seafood restaurant located on the 86 floor of 101, Taipei. There are only a few tables and early table reservation is advisable in order to avoid disappointment. Ambience is classic European although the cuisine is Chinese. Set dinner menus are recommended. With a set menu for the price of around TWD2,500 per head, one get to be seated next to the window. But at night, the view may be disapppointing as the mist on the windows may blur the sight. For a set menu of TWD1,950, per head, one is seated away from the window, but the food is nonetheless very good. Cuisine is modern Chinese. Staff are well trained, attentive and very polite. It is a good restaurant for a romantic dinner as well as corporate functions.
