Jin-Chun-Fa Beef Restaurant 金春發牛肉麵

Anchor point
No. 20, Tianshui Rd., Datong Dist., Taipei City Taiwan, R.O.C

Whipping up delicious dishes using all beef parts that are fresh-butchered every day, the century-old Jin-Chun-Fa Beef Restaurant on Tianshui Rd. has been frequented by generations of loyal customers.

Jin-Chun-Fa’s beef broth, a time-honored specialty stewed in a genuinely Taiwanese style, brings out the tastiness of beef without any artificial seasonings. Also available are stir-fried side dishes, just one serving of which, be it stir-fried vegetables or beef/offal curry, gives sufficient relish to bowls of rice. Attracting crowds for its long history and reputation, Jin-Chun-Fa is the place to be for authentically stewed beef noodles.

    Amazing noodle soup

If you’re around the central station you should definitely should try this place! The beef noodle soup and the beer were really really great!

    Nice but limited

Luckily a staff member took pity on us and found a menu with English otherwise we would have been really stuck! Very much a local eatery, catering for everything to do with beef. If you don't eat offal then the menu is limited, however we managed a couple of tasty dishes.

This eatery has been around for over a century but on this particular day when we went and ordered 2 dishes we werent much impressed. Had their Stirred fried curry beef noodles and mixed beef offals soup. Stirred fried noodles did have "wok hey"-- "breath of the dragon" but the noodles came out too soft and soggy, beef was tiny pieces and overcooked. Mixed beef offals was just ok, broth was nice, but the rest are not memorable.

    Simple and nice

Old restaurant specializing in beef. The meat is fresh and tender and there are a wide variety of dishes of meat, including noodles. You can have a quick meal here. Portions are small, and that is ok so you can try many different dishes. Service is friendly and English menu is available. Overall cost isn't cheap but then you don't come here for cheap meals.

Expensive so-so beef noodles in soup

This is one of the oldest beef noodles restaurants in the city. I tried the classic beef noodles (in clean soup). To be honest with you, I got no special impression and was quite disappointed because the beef was less and I did not get full from this lunch which costed NTD 120. However, my friend admired that the quality of beef is fresh and good. Although the retaurant was near our office, we never went back.
