    Nice place to visit

    2020-04

Lin An Tai house is a transitional brick house with a beautiful neat garden. There’s also a small museum in it. If I remember it right, this place was build within the concept of Feng Shui. The best thing I like here is, with a perfect timing and some luck, you can take photos of airplanes in the sky with this ancient architecture. MRT to YuanShan, take a bus or 20mins on foot, a good place to visit nearby the city center.

    Ancient architecture in Taipei city.

    2020-02

A beautiful old mansion in Taipei city. Admission is free. The design of this architecture is based on Feng shui. A hidden gem in Taipei city. A good place to spend your time on a sunny day during the non summer season in Taiwan.

    The house that time forgot

    2020-02

The Lin An Tai house is a traditional sturdy brick construction from the days when it would be occupied by an entire generation of an extended family. The red brick house is surrounded by a tall brick wall. The exhibits deserve attention. There's a large concrete construction near the front gate. The sculpture park is interesting. The house can be found fairly easily by walking from the Yuanshan MRT station. Walk to the south of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum and keep your eye out for the signs. The house is in Binjing Road. It's quite a long walk.

    Beautiful

    2020-02

We spent a good couple of hours visiting this beautiful house and grounds. It was very interesting learning about the history of the building too and the fact that it has been moved several times in the past. Definately worth visiting, this attraction is free of charge.

    Historical, tradiotional house...

    2019-09

The house has more than 100 years. The house preserves architecture and design details of old times and this is one of the few places in Taipei where you can see this old architecture and its impact the people's life-style. The gardens and different rooms are very interesting. It follows the Feng Chui tradition. There is no entrance fee. On Sunday pm, locals meet at the entrance and sing. We arrived by metro. the metro station is 3 or 4 blocks from the house. You may have to ask for directions. It is not difficult to find. It is surrounded by an old, brown, large wall that is visible from different streets. The place is cool. The weather was very nice when we visited. You may need ta least one hour to see it.
