Extremely Memorable & Unique Stay ExperienceFirstly, even though this is not my first time staying at this hotel, however, this hotel never fail to amaze me with its uniquely decorated and themed rooms. I have always stayed in a different type of room with a different theme and I can feel the great deal of time and effort the staff members had put into decorating each themed room. Secondly, this hotel is located approximately 5 minutes away from Jiannan Road metro station which is on the Wenhu metro line and there is also a free shuttle bus service from this hotel to the famous and must visit Shilin night market. Lastly, the rooms are clean and spacious at this hotel and this hotel had even offered a free car ride to the Taoyuan international airport on our last day since we had stayed there for a consecutive period of 3 nights as part of an ongoing promotion, which is a thoughtful gesture considering that we were carrying lots of heavy luggages. This is definitely a hotel everyone visiting Taipei should consider =D
Themed hotelWe booked this because we quite like a gimmick (or Sarah does). The reviews were pretty good too. Although it’s a castle hotel and looks like a castle, has a knight opening the gates and fake flame lights, its a fully themed hotel with every room having a different theme. Whether it be Vegas, sports, Spider-Man, western, you name it they probably have it (51 options). We selected the “Egypt” theme and “mermaid”. Walking in, it feels a little weird being in a fully themed room, like you have no idea what’s going on outside, you may find it creepy, or cool, that’s depending on you. The room has quite amazing technology - electronically-controlled room ambiance (from the switchboard next to your bed), LED tv x 2 - one is in the bathroom so you can watch from the jacuzzi. Both our rooms had jacuzzi and saunas, and one even had a massage bed (to be massaged from the ceiling shower head). Your shower doubles as a sauna. The place is super quiet and we didn’t see many guests. They gave us a breakfast coupon which was nice seeing as though we hadn’t paid for it. Breakfast had hot food, tea and coffee, cereals, bread and steamed buns. The staff are super eager to please, and as soon as you walk downstairs, they’re ready to give you a key to take out and about (so not to lose it) or organise a cab. Seems like a lot of safety precautions and CCTV footage here. If you have a car, you can even drive up right to your own room and park your car (level 4 and 5). There’s washing facilities and a spa (at extra cost) You room has a kettle, fridge and mini bar - with included crisps and biscuits. We found this hotel to be a little out of the way of the action, close to the airport but approx 35 on the train to central Taipei.

Fun hotel with great serviceWe stayed in five different rooms over a 7 night stay. All rooms were spacious had big bathrooms with 2 person spa with a TV so you can watch TV while you spa. Eden room (balcony and big window), Venus grotto (very small window), Ice cave (enormous room, water massage, sauna, balcony), Phantom of the opera (gorgeous) and Knight's of the Round Table (balcony, big room, sauna, water massage). All rooms we stayed in had excellent showers and really comfortable bed and pillows. It was a lot of fun to stay in the themed rooms. All rooms include complimentary drinks, snacks, toiletries and condoms. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but one of the staff at breakfast was very friendly and it was a pleasure to see her each morning. There is a laundry for guests to use for free. Additionally, hotel staff gave us Starbucks vouchers, organised a car and driver for travelling to Shifen, Juifen and Keelung (Driver Lin Lewan was excellent), stored our luggage, provided complimentary transport to the airport at the end of our stay, organised for us to stay in the rooms we wanted, moved beers we had left in our previous room to our new room and managed to remove a travel adapter that had got stuck in an outlet and returned it to us. Staff went above and beyond to understand (we speak no Chinese/Taiwanese) and accommodate us. Nearby is the Mirimar and plenty of delicious restaurants and convenience stores.
Stay here!Book as early as you can (to get a good price) for an indulgent time at a uniquely themed car hotel that comes with your own garage. We booked the largest rooms 320 (Frozen Ice Cave with dragon) & 520 (Cinderella) - Bubble baths, huge grounds, VOD tv (great selection of movies!) and free wifi (a bit unstable in one room but okay in the other) Check out at 12pm on 2nd day, leave luggage with reception and check in at 3pm again. First day check in at 6pm. Buffet breakfast was alright - with a decent spread and coffee machines. Reception always knew when we were going out and had our key card exchange ready- they also gave our 2 toddlers a ballon each (request for cartoon granted even and blown on spot!) on our last evening. A 5-8 Min walk will bring you to Marimar where there’s a movie theatre, shops, plenty of food options and an arcade & Ferris wheel at the top floor. Opposite Marimar is 7-11, Food Republic & Carrefour.
