Scenic hot springsThis is a short walk from Beito hot spring museum and about 15 minutes walk from Xinbeito station. The valley itself is quite small and when we were there there was a lot of steam rising and billowing across which made for great photos. It is green sulphur and you can see all the rocks in the creek tinged a green colour. There is a nice viewing area in which to take photos when you first enter the area and also a small waterfall. There wasn’t to much of a sulphur smell when we visited. There is a shop selling souvenirs and public toilets with some nearby seating available. It’s not as large or impressive or pungent as the hot springs in Rotorua -New Zealand but it is worth a visit.
Unique ExperienceHell valley was interesting, more-so as I had visited the hot-springs museum prior to taking a short walk up to the thermal valley. The smell of sulphur was stinky, but the view was quite mythical. I could almost imagine a dragon coming out of the steam.....
Interesting Thermal Valley and full of steamNice little walk from train station. Enjoy the view and interesting to watch. It's free to enter, what do other people expect.
Hong Kong, China
OkayHaving seen many similar (and often more interesting) hot springs in other parts of the world this is not particularly impressive - but since it is just about 10 min walk from other attractions in the vicinity of Beitou Park, it is probably worth a quick look
