Small market, but good foodWe stayed in a hotel near Ningxia Night Market so we frequented this area. Very good Oyster cake, Milk teas in this area are all good. Try the fried dumpling restaurant (two thumbs up). the other food stalls are ok, but not comparable in quality to Shi Lin Market.
Nice walk with lots of food stallsVisited the night market twice when staying in Taipei. Both times on a weekday but on different times (7pm and 9pm). Despite the crowds the night market delivers good food and nice drinks (our kids really enjoyed the watermelon juice). Just a couple of minutes walk past the night market the water fountain offers a place for cooling (in front of the pharmacy in the “roundabout”)
Crowded even on a weekday!Quiet a variety of food but the price was expensive considering the quality of food and no available place to sit. Definitely not a place to escape the heat in the summer.
Less touristy than the other night marketsI was recommended by a local friend to explore this night market and it is less "touristy" than the other more popular ones which are better known to tourists. The night market is an approximate 10 mins' walk from Zhongshan MRT. Even though the night market is small and the passageway between the stalls is quite crammed, the food seemed cheaper relative to the ones offered in the popular markets. The specialty of this night market would be the oyster omelette offered in the famous shops (you can spot them with the long queues) and it is worth trying them.
Eco night market with lotsa good food!My favorite night market. though small, it has quite a number of yummy stalls like fried yam balls with custard and pots of huge prawns. Definitely worth a visit. Oh, i find it clean too!
