Brick Yard 33 1/3 belongs to the cluster of Yangmingshan America Military Housing next to Chinese Culture University. Between the 1950s and 1960s, it served as an important place for social events for the US troops stationed in Taiwan as well as their families. This place used to be home to the Yangmingshan Country Club.
Through the matchmaking of “Cultural Movement for Old Houses,” promoted by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government, the club was transformed into a space for creative and cultural performances and restaurants. On weekdays, the club is open for free during certain time slots; yet, on holidays, visitors must make a payment inside. Brick Yard 33 1/3 is a place with cultural and historical significance.
Free admission times: 11:00 to 11:40 on weekdays / 15:00 to 16:30 on weekdays (only partially open)
