Shanguang Temple located on the Hot Spring Street in Xinbeitou is different from ordinary temples which have a lot of decorations. The outlook of Shanguang Temple in Xinbeitou is very plain. Although it is not open to the public on weekdays, during the cherry blossom season every year, people can still see the blossoms of Taiwan cherry trees from the steps at the entrance of Shanguang Temple; therefore, it is one of the secret spots for watching cherry blossoms in Beitou. 

Shanguang Temple is a good spot to overlook the entire Beitou landscape. It is recommended to visit when you are in Beitou for a hot spring trip. 

Shanguang Temple is a place for Buddhist practice, so please remember to be quiet and pay attention to your manner. Please avoid disturbing the tranquility of the Temple.
