Songshan Station is one of the few historical stations in Taiwan. At the time of the first railroad construction from Keelung to Hsinchu during the years of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing dynasty, Songshan was already a simple ticket kiosk. 

Songshan Station is now a union station of Taiwan Railway and Taipei MRT. The west side of the cylindrical shaped station is the main entrance. Because of its unique outlook, it attracts many passengers to pause here and shoot photos.
