At the junction of Kangding Road and Sanshui Street in Wanhua District, there is a signboard that reads “Xinfu Market” and “Dongsanshui Street Market”, a place where two traditional markets exist concurrently on the same street.

Dongsanshui Street Market is one of the most important traditional markets in Wanhua District. It has been in existence since 1921, and is a traditional market with historical heritage status. Beside the market is Xinfu Market, a horseshoe-shaped building that has become a cultural museum.  You can find every possible product in the market, ranging from fresh and cooked food to daily necessities, and there are many old shops that sell traditional delicacies.
