Based on the theme, “Finding Happiness”, Baishihu Community transformed the once abandoned spring into “Heart Pond”, a wetland pond with a double-heart design. There is also a pavilion, “United Heart Pavilion”, built beside the pond, symbolizing the union of water and earth, and “eternal love”.
Near the Heart Pond is Guzhui Pond, a storage pond built by a local farmer, “Uncle Guzhui”, with the help of the villagers, to solve the water supply problem for farmland irrigation in the mountain region. To remember his effort, the people named the storage pond, “Guzhui Pond”.
