Such a Beautiful Temple
The Songshan Ciyou Temple is right next to the Raohe Night Market. My main goal was to visit the market, but I saw this temple and could not just walk by it. This temple is huge and so decorative and colorful. I love how detailed the roofs and architecture are of the temples in Taipei and this was among my favorites. I saw both locals and tourists here, it was nice to see how respectful and quiet everyone was. You can take the green line to get close to the area. There are many other attractions and shopping markets in the area. Highly recommended! -

Beautiful Temple
This temple is absolutely beautiful and worth visiting. It is located by the east entrance of the Roahe Night Market. I love the intricate and ornate carvings. The locals are very nice and we were welcomed to explore. -

Great inspiration!
The temple is a fascinating place to sit down, feel the spirit, pray and express wishes. All kind of people, locals as well as tourists, pass by. They express their wishes by lightening incense sticks and throw (wooden) dice to see if they‘ll be lucky. Taiwanese pragmatic way to things is shown in the way offerings are done. They are put on a table for the goods and recollected once people leave the temple. -

Very interesting culture. Cann't miss.
I always love to see the local people and enjoy their daily life when I travel to a country. It's better than go to a tour area. Temples are the best view of Taiwan. -

A hidden gem
The stone carvings on the wall was magnificent. A great view of the streets fro the upper level. It is worth the visit. We had a guide and learned so much regarding the culture and taoist practice of Taiwanese.
