Pleasant parkPleasant to walk around. Appreciate the children’s playground and fitness corner for kids to run around.
Good for morning walkA good place to spend a morning at the middle of the city. Many people were trying to capture the wild birds with their camera.
Fascinating city parkA fascinating public area with great design. We can find locals who’s doing exercise of Yoga, Kungfu and other sports. Good points from this park: (1) its all free to enters (haha). (2) there some spot of outdoor stage for some attractions. If you’re here on specific date to see the attractions, you are lucky. (3) We still can find birds and squirrels here which contacted directly to us. Just give them some foods :) (5) the view of every spots in this park are nice and “instagram-able” (6). The last think is, this park location is very strategic. Located on the middle of Taipei City. Also, there is grand mosque nearby which usually opens free tour guide whose want to knows about Islam. I am also muslim from Indonesia and I spent an hour to take Friday Praying in the mosque. Over all, it was nice experience. Thanks Taipei!
Must-see if you are visiting TaipeiOpen spaces, tons of trees, walking paths, ponds. Lots of squirrels and birds. Great for singles, couples, families, groups of friends. An amphitheater sometimes hosts concerts on the weekend. Sunny weekends are very busy, but during the workweek in the daytime it's not bad.
Interesting people watchingWe strolled around Daan Park in the morning around 8 am, and found many groups and individuals practicing Tai Chi as well as other fitness activities, bird watching and just strolling. The park has different areas of gardens and a small lake in the centre to encourage local wildlihe. There were many birds, and turtles to see. The paths were mostly flat, and there were plenty of toilets.
