Introduction

Located at the base of Bailushan, Dahu Park is best known for its large scenic lake. The 13-hectare lake is crossed by the Jindai Bridge. There is also a picturesque lake pavilion, which like the bridge, is built in a traditional Chinese style.

The park is also a popular spot for weekend fishing, picnics, and strolls in the scenic setting. Walking along the lake, one can enjoy the rippling light on the lakes and the flight of the egrets. Apart from the greenery and trails, there is a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, water slide, and other recreational facilities to enjoy.

Nice small park close to city center

    2019-09

This is a perfect place to spend an extra 1-1.5 extra hrs for a stroll when in Taipei. Relaxing, pretty, close to subway. Beautifully done with a very pretty bridge. A break from the traffic, tall buildings, crowd.

    A cute park

    2019-03

This park is nice but small so it was very crowded. It is very close to the train station and is in a very nice area. There are not many restaurants in the area so is a good idea to bring a picnic. It is cute to take a few good pictures.

    Dahu Park and other trails

    2018-11

Previously, I come here to bring friends to see the moon bridge at night and do a little bit of catching up. But I found out about the trails nearby and Dahu Park has become our starting and ending point. From Dahu Park, cross the street and find Burger King, that's where the trail starts. The trail is about 8km (11km from step tracker) and about 4hrs to finish: Dahu Park > Dagouxi Waterfront Park (大溝溪生態治水園區) > Yeh Ancestral Temple (全臺葉姓祖廟)> Yuanjue Falls (圓覺瀑布) > Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋) > Liyushan (鯉魚山) > Yeh Ancestral Temple > Bihu Trail (碧湖步道) > Bishan Park (碧山公園) > Dahu Park We had dinner in a hotpot/barbecue combination restaurant which also just a few meters from the MRT.

    Relaxing Place

    2018-09

Visited this place on my last day in Taipei. It served as a break from exploring the city. The park was clean and well maintained and the view was nice. You can see trains passing by in its elevated platform, ducks swimming, the mountainside, etc. But the centerpiece of the park is the moonbridge. It was breathtaking specially during dusk when the lights turn on. The park is easily accessed via the Taipei MRT brown line. It has its own train station, Dahu Park.
