A cool place around the lake !!Nice place to spend an evening here. Take a walk around the lake. But I felt the place could be better lit. Across the road there is a Ganesh Temple too !!
Very beautiful lakeThe Bihu Park's main feature is undoubtedly the Bihu lake. Behind the lake, there is a small wooden hill. From the path around the lake you can access a trail inside that hill: the Bihu hiking trail. It is very pleasant to walk there, especially in the morning. Count one hour to do it leisurely. I have lived there for almost two years, in the building that you can see on the photos here below. It is a pretty nice area. Every week, I had a walk or two around the lake. At the back of the lake, there is a peaceful platform. I used to sit there to meditate, especially at sundown. It is a very good area for this type of activity. You might wonder why the bridges to access this platform aren't straight. - It is to avoid ghosts. Ghosts travel in straight lines. When they 'walk' on such bridges they get confused and turn back.

Bihu ParkThis is a large city park located near the Wende MRT Station. The predominant feature of Bihu Park is its large lake. There is a nice paved walking path that circles the lake which, along with the park itself, is well utilized by the locals. In addition to the lake (which allows fishing), there are hiking trails through the wooded hillside, a children’s play area, basketball courts, tennis courts, a reading room, fitness area and a foot reflexology path.

A very nice peaceful parkA really friendly and safe environment for people of all ages. Walking, running, meditating, organised exercise, reading, fishing, play area for kids. It has everything except a decent refreshment area (but plenty nearby). In the summertime it gets busy in the evenings as people avoid the heat of the day, but in spring and autumn meet plenty of people in the day time. Taiwanese people are very friendly and will always exchange a greeting with you no matter who you are.
Best Natural View in TaipeiIf you are looking for natural view in the city without going out of town, this is the place! Tha park is only 5 min walk from Bihu park MRT stop. You can jogging here, running, or even just walking and sit in a bench while enjoy the sunset. Not many people come to this place, except neighbour. This place is so calm, and they provide bamboo iglo house for meditation and community event. Don't miss this place when you go to Taipei :)
