Dajia Riverside Park 大佳河濱公園

Anchor point
Sprawling along the banks between the Zhongshan and Dazhi Bridges in Taipei’s Zhongshan District, Dajia Riverside Park is an urban greenery project inspired from a City Government-initiated effort to straighten the course of Keelung River. Upon arriving at this extensive park, visitors are greeted with a pleasant, expansive patch of lawn commanding a view of Miramar’s rooftop Ferris wheel. In addition to a gigantic fountain that imparts a rhythmic visual effect with aerated water jets of varying intensity and heights, where the central columns reach up to 75-meters, the park is replete with sports facilities for basketball, tennis, badminton and croquet, as well as and an encircling bike path several kilometers long (bicycle rental services available). A popular weekend getaway known for its spaciousness, convenient parking and scenic beauty, Dajia Riverside Park hosts large events at irregular intervals to showcase Taipei’s metropolitan vibrancy.

    The night scenery was amazing!!!

Spent a night skateboarding alongside the Keelung river at Dajia Riverside Park to Yinfeng Riverside Park. The night scenery was amazing and it’s better than the day time coz of the breeze and without burning sun.

Part of a monumental effort by the authorities to 'green' Taipei, this park is best traveled by bicycle. I came here with my rented youbike and enjoyed a couple of hours at night when the lanes were very quiet. It is a great place to get away from the bustle of Taipei's street.

The park is a wonderful place to get some exercise and nature all at once it stretches alongside the Keelung river and you can cross using many bridges. There are almist always a wide array of impressive birds and sometimes jumping fish. It is an excellent daily habit.

I like this park, it is so large and you can enjoy whole day with your family. Other than large compound on the riverside, you can rent bicycle on Entrance No.8 with reasonable price. The bicycles are in good quality, I rented two adult size and one 4-year old size bicycles for half a day and only costed me TWD300, which was less than USD10. There are quite a numbers of activities you can choose from, like cycling, fishing, picnic etc, I saw quite a number of pet lovers brought their dogs together. If you are lucky, you may spot the Taiwanese practicing their dragon boat ride in the Keelung river.

just a hop away from busy city life

I usually access this park from the Modern Art Museum. It's not a long walk, and even closer on a Ubike. It's wide open, and has a pier that occasionally offers boat/canoe rides. There's roller skate park, kids playground, tennis courts etc. Evening stroll along the water is the most pleasant on a hot summer night. And for public parks in major city, it's as safe as it can get!
