Wednesday:open 24 hours

Yanping Riverside Park has preserved memories of the early lives of the people in Taipei. Heading towards the direction of the Tamsui River estuary, visitors can enjoy cultural heritage attractions of the entire Dadaocheng Area along the way, such as: Dihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, Taipei Confucius Temple and Dalongdong Bao’an Temple. These places help people bring back memories of old Taipei. At the starting point of Dadaocheng Wharf, many recreation facilities are also available, including: Blue Highway ferry piers, coffee square and Tangshan Sailboat (Junk). During holidays, visitors can rent bicycles to enjoy the wind and the scenery. Furthermore, they can also enjoy coffee at the open-air café, and may occasionally encounter a performance of traditional Taiwanese opera. It is a place for leisure where modernity and traditions merge to form the unique riverside style that defines Taipei’s cityscape.

    Nice view

Clean park, with some sports equipment, lots of benches around, some shade. A few stray dogs too! (leave them alone, they will leave you alone) It's close to lots of roads, so if you enter from the south side, lots of smoke from vehicles before you enter. We went early morning on a weekday, so it was quite empty. When we walked past the basketball court, the guy who was using it shouted "跳“(jump) at us..Telling us to jump in the river? We just kept walking on.

    Feeding live puppies to snakes

If you feel like the zoo's practice of feeding live puppies to snakes, then by all means go. But if you have at least a bit of compassion for K9s, then avoid this place until they realize that their practices are horrific and inhumane.

    Beautiful river

It is a good place to ride a bicycle along the beautiful river against the wind, very comfortable, very clean surroundings.
