Station has many interesting featuresBeian Station (North Gate ) has many interesting features. It's an MRT stop for the Taipei Lantern Festival. It has an archaeological exhibit from the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese colonial period ( 1895-1945), when this area was an arsenal. Beian is also has an in-town baggage check-in service for the Taoyuan Airport MRT line. Staff are available to assist. It's a big station, if you follow the signs you won't get lost.
One of the manyAll of these stations are very well set up . There is English on almost everything so really helps there is also almost always helpful
central and convenient!my hostel is near by. easy to get around. wonderful transition from taipei main station to taoyuan airport
Train station big and very crowdedAs all in this country, this station was big and very crowded besides it is very confusing if you do not speak the language. People barely speak English and it is difficult to get directions since everyone seems to be in a hurry and they are not really willing to help, fortunately we found some nice Taiwanese people along the way who really helped us to get thru the odyssey.
easier way to connect to Taoyuan MRTan easier option to navigate to the Taoyuan MRT if you are staying near Ximen or the Songshan Line as it is not as far of a walk than Taipei Main Station, less chaotic and definitely more charming with its historic read of the station during the time of building it. if you are on a day pass, do stopover and enjoy the history.
