To promote the enjoyment and beauty of hot springs and their associated culture, Taipei City organizes the annual Hot Spring Season of Taipei, which entered its 16^th year in 2017. This year’s event will take place on Qixing Street next to MRT Xinbeitou station from October 19^th to 23^rd, with special areas for children and parents, and visitors and locals, to complete their wishing plaques and taste some snacks. In terms of activities on offer, adorable mascots and ambassadors from hot spring areas at home and abroad join kids carrying children’s palanquins at a parade, thereby adding a dash of vigorous festivity to the neighborhood. Other highlights of the Hot Spring Season of Taipei include a nakasi singing competition and yukata design contest, giving visitors a taste of Taiwan’s top hot spring location as part of the five-day event.
