To promote Taipei’s local cultural industries and commercial districts, Taipei Christmas Season was first held in 2016 and then expanded to the city’s 12 department stores in 2017, as well as four shopping areas including Chaoyang, Taipei Main Station Wholesale Market, Huayin St. District and Wufenpu shopping district. The event this year continues to combine festive elements of Christmas, with a series of promotional events that integrate department stores and their neighboring shopping areas in a quest to boost local business.
