The “2018 Stroll in Xinyi - Cultural Festival” focuses on four themes; Walk and Study, Memory and Tour, Stroll, and Military Dependent’s Village. Guided tours are used to participants around every corner of Xinyi District. This year, there are eight routes, and the organizer collaborates with Songshan Cihui Temple and Fengtien Temple. It should be noted that residents along the Shihquanyen walkway and Liuchangli walkway routes have been involved in participative budgeting to get this event off the ground. Another theme for the event is “Happy City,” and this walk features an exhibition on “One Day Happy City” which explores the possibilities of Happy City from three different angles: hydrology, food and economy. In addition, the walk also encompasses some often-neglected cityscapes which are actually an indispensable part of a happy city.
