To celebrate the birthday of Baosheng Dadi on March 15 in lunar calendar, Dalongdong Baoan Temple organizes a series of activities related not only to the religion, but to theatrical performance, arts, health, academic seminar and so on. All of these celebration activities have shaped the backbone of Baosheng Cultural Festival, known as an important religious festival in the region.
Starting with consecutive 23 programs of the Family Surnames Opera, Baoan temple provides a series of activities for people to enjoy and appreciate traditional arts. For example, the Baosheng Dadi Birthday Consecration (literally means “three offerings”) Ceremony, birthday celebration feast, troupe parade, fire lion fireworks show, Birth Registry Matron & Heavenly Holy Mother Birthday Celebration Ceremonies, religious culture lectures, guided tours, art exhibitions, free healthcare medical consultation, choir performances, Shennon Dadi Birthday Celebration Ceremony, healthcare contribution awards, international academic conferences and so on.
