The first Taipei Jazz Festival was held by Taipei City’s Department of Cultural Affairs in 2007. It has successfully become the city’s music brand. With the unique urban atmosphere of Taipei as backdrop, international exchange allows Taiwanese jazz to align with international jazz. Enjoying jazz from different places, international, improvised, and leisurely jazz is brought into people’s lives, closing the distance between music and life and letting people experience the relaxing comfortable atmosphere of music in life.
