This is the first time the World Masters Games is taking place in Asia. It’s also the first time that the games are co-hosted by two cities, Taipei City and New Taipei City. The opening ceremony will take place at Taipei Dome on May 17, kicking off 14 days of competition across 35 sports in 69 venues throughout northern Taiwan. The games will conclude on May 30 at the New Taipei City Art Museum. Concurrent with the Games, a World Masters Games Expo and Symposium will offer cultural experiences and boost tourism. This event aims to enhance international exchange, stimulate the local sports and tourism industries, and cultivate Taipei as a vibrant sports city. The games are expected to provide unforgettable experiences for athletes and inspire a love of sports in the community.
