The 2017 Taipei Lantern Festival will be staged on February 4 to 12 along Section 1 of Zhonghua Road from Zhongxiao West Road to Guiyang Street, and the Ximending area. Key attractions will be spotlight sculpture displays at Beimen (the North Gate) and Zhongshan Hall, a student lantern competition at the hall's plaza, exhibits and performances around The Red House, and a freestyle creative-lantern area at Xibenyuan Temple Square. The city's west end will be immersed in a brilliant sea of lanterns, bathed in a brilliant pageant of colorful light.
