The well-planned bicycle rental system in Taipei City and the well-developed riverside bike paths offer tourists a low-carbon, leisurely travel experience. The picturesque Shuangxi Riverside Bikeway stands as one of Taipei City's premier paths within the riverside cycling network. Positioned nearest to residential areas, this meticulously maintained route offers a compact and scenic journey.Commencing from the left bank of Shuangxi, it seamlessly links to the bikeway on the right bank of Bailing Bridge, extending its path to Chende Bridge. This route also conveniently leads visitors to Taipei City's last Sampan pier, known as "Sanjiaodu".

If entering the Keelung River Riverside Bikeway from the Lin An-tai Evacuation Gate on the left bank, visitors can observe interpretive signs detailing the origins and transformation stories of the Keelung River, allowing them to gain insights into its extensive history while engaging in recreational activities. Additionally, by accessing the bikeway from the Meiti Evacuation Gate on the right bank, one can also explore the historical narrative of the Keelung River depicted through illustrations on the embankment walls.

Set amidst lush hills and pristine waters, the left and right bank riverside bikeways along the Jingmei River feature a diverse landscape with prominent attractions like the Taipei Zoo, NCCU Stadium, and abundant greenery. This scenic route includes sprawling green lawns and crystal-clear streams, offering a remarkably comfortable and delightful experience.

The bikeway continues along the banks of the Xindian River after the Huajiang Bridge. The riverside scenery of the Xindian River resembles "green spaces within the city" as it passes through Banqiao, Zhonghe, Yonghe, and Xindian. Each year from October to March, visitors can also observe wild geese, ducks, and protected migratory birds along the route. Finally, the Tamsui River Riverside Bikeway is constructed along the Yanping Riverside Park from the Dadaocheng Pier. Along the way, the scenery includes attractions like the Dadaocheng Pier Plaza, the Tangshan Sailing Boat Landscape, the Pier Arch Bridge, and distant views of the Tamsui River. This route can also be combined with the Blue Highway Route, guiding cyclists towards Guandu Pier, and even destinations like Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf and Bali Left Bank, offering diverse riverside recreational pleasures.
