The Taipei Water Park is in the southern part of the Taipei Basin and the hub of the Gongguan Shopping District. It covers an area of about 20 hectares and has a natural environment surrounded by mountains and water, which is the source of Taipei's tap water.

Guanyinshan Reservoir, a municipally designated historic building complex within the "Museum of Drinking Water," boasts a history exceeding a century. Its function is to store purified, potable water. Its architectural features have earned it the nickname "Underground Water Palace."
