Today, nagai podocarpus line the trail, and people have restored the damaged stone lanterns and pillars, allowing the trail to once again showcase its centuries-old splendor.

The 4.03-kilometer-long Maokong Gondola is Taipei City's first cable car system. A one-way trip takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. It has four stations, namely "Taipei Zoo Station," "Zoo South Station," "Zhinangong Station," and "Maokong Station," where passengers can get on and off.
