In compliance with the relaxing of the COVID Alert to Level 2, both the Maokong Gondola and the ice rink at Taipei Arena will reopen to the public starting August 1. However, a set of complimentary measures are in place to ensure pandemic prevention.

Maokong Gondola:
All passengers are required to comply with pandemic prevention measures such as contact-tracing registration, temperature-taking, and mandatory face mask. Social distancing is also implemented at the queues and hand sanitizers are also available within the facilities.
Taipei Arena Ice Land
Each gondola carriage can accommodate up to a maximum of 4 passengers under the new guideline. Visitors who have temperature higher than 37.5-degree Celsius or show symptoms of respiratory illness will not be allowed onboard.

Also, to commemorate Indigenous People’s Day on August 1, indigenous people who show their ID document on the day can take the Maokong Gondola for free.

Visitors are also reminded that Taipei Zoo can only be accessed through the main gate during this period. Therefore, the entrance at Taipei Zoo South Station will remain closed to the public.

As thorough maintenance has been conducted during the period of service suspension, the facility will operate through the month of August without interruption – including Mondays.

Taipei Arena Ice Land:
As a general guideline, the Taipei Arena Ice Land will retain a cap on indoor occupancy to 40 people. Only students and holders of Training Card are admitted during this period. Policies such as mandatory face mask, temperature-taking, no eating or drinking are also in place. Locker rooms and spectator seating areas remain closed.

The standard day for the ice rink is subdivided into 4 segments, with each segment limited to a maximum of 40 individuals. Those eligible to access the facility include visitors with Training Card or enrolled in registered lessons (group or individual). For those planning on visiting, please make a reservation by calling beforehand. More details are available on the Chinese website of Taipei Arena .

Taipei Arena has also carried out thorough disinfection of skating equipment and protection gears when the facility remained closed during the past months. The rink ice renewal, which was slated for the end of the year, has been completed during this period as well.
