From today through February 21, the “Who Good Retro Time” Exhibition is taking place at POPOP Taipei’s Building I, Building B, Building A2, and Caffe Dearland in Building G.

Chinese New Year is the time of the year when students and young people who study or work out of town return to their home and get together with family members. It is also a great opportunity for old friends to meet up, chat, and reminisce the yesteryears. To celebrate nostalgic memories, the Who Good Retro Time Exhibition brings artifacts from the past to POPOP Taipei, allowing visitors to relive the vivid memories from the golden years.

Spotlighting the spirit of craftsmanship, the organizers allocated a part of the exhibition to “Restored Old School Vehicle Garage by Expert Craftsmen.” Here, works by craftsman spanning veterans to new comers decorate the scene – from automobiles to Go-kart to motorcycles. POPOP Taipei is a training ground for craftsmen, a place where they learn not only the knowhow, but also the spirit behind the art of craftsmanship.

In the face of the pandemic, the city government worked with the team at POPOP Taipei to implement numerous COVID-19 prevention measures over Chinese New Year, such as planning visitor routes to minimize the chances of crowding inside the facility.

In addition to the showcase of restored vehicles, there is also a popup shop – the Who Good American and Japanese Selected Goods Store – with merchandises which have been restored by professional craftsmen in the US and Japan. There are also numerous deals and discounts offered by stores and street artists at POPOP Taipei!

POPOP Taipei is easily accessible via public bus, MRT, HSR (Highspeed Rail), or TRA (Taiwan Railway). The institution is located within a close walk from A1 exit of Nangang Railway Station. For more information, please visit POPOP Taipei’s fan page on Facebook.
