The "Lohas Teddy Carnival" featuring adorable teddy bears will be traveling from Taichung to Taipei this year! More than a hundred oversized lohas bear installations will adorn the beautiful gardens of Taipei Shilin Presidential Residence from January 16 to February 18, bringing lots of joy and delight to this year's New Year celebrations.
The 3rd annual "Lohas Bear Carnival" is themed around "Love to Share," and the two cities will for the first time be holding joint exhibitions centered on "cultural creativity," "green sustainability," and "advanced technology." Following their exhibition in Taichung City, the teddy bears will be transported to the lovely environs of Shilin Presidential Residence, where they will be a fun, lively addition to the flower garden's classic grace. The exhibition venue will not only feature over one hundred oversized teddy bear installations, a huge 7-meter high inflated lohas bear will certainly be the center of attention, while 2 2.5-meter high green lohas bear sculptures complementing the garden's floral imagery will add a splash of vibrant color to the winter cityscape.
In addition to outdoor installations, the Shilin Presidential Residence Horticulture Exhibition Hall will also be featuring the "International Artist Bear Special Exhibit" starting January 16. Teddy bears designed by artists from more than 20 countries around the world in various sizes and distinctive appearances will be showcased. Selected entries for the "Qute Lohas Bear Creative Competition" will also be exhibited in the Horticulture Exhibition Hall starting January 27.
