To celebrate International Women’s Day with women who play important roles at their workplace and family, all 12 District Sports Centers across Taipei will offer female users a special discount. On March 8, ladies can purchase admission tickets to the swimming pool and fitness room at any district sports center for only NT$38!
Sports Commissioner Wang Hung-shiang remarked that Taipei City boasts abundant resources in many areas. In the interest of creating a city characterized by healthy and fit lifestyles, as well as offering the public opportunities to enjoy sports and exercises in their day-to-day life, each administration district has its respective sports center that make available a wide range of classes for users.
According to a survey conducted in 2022, roughly 98.9% of the respondents expressed approval for these sports centers. This result indicate that the vast majority of users are enjoying the convenient, comfortable, safe, and affordable environment for exercise and sports at these facilities.
The Department of Sports (SPD) pointed out that numerous research and documents cite the lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle as the primary causes for the pervasiveness of metabolic diseases today. By changing one’s lifestyle through routine exercise habit, this will help individuals maintain fitness, relieve pressure, and acquire a balance between the body and the mind.
To promote the habit of exercising, SPD takes advantage of International Women’s Day to offer deals targeting female users. In addition to the NT$38 admission tickets, several centers also offer free trial classes and discounted tuition fee for course registration. Hopefully, these bargains will encourage more women to find time to exercise and stay fit.
